INGRÉDIENTS

- 1/2 piece goya (bitter melon)
- 🧅 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
Seafood
- 3 tbsp dried sakura shrimp
Batter
- 50g tempura flour
- 80cc water

- 1 tbsp tempura flour
- Enough salad oil for frying
ÉTAPES
Cut the goya in half lengthwise and remove seeds and pith with a spoon. Slice thinly crosswise. Thinly slice the onion.
In a bowl, mix 50g of tempura flour and 80cc of water to create the batter.
In another bowl, combine sakura shrimp, goya, onion, and 1 tbsp of tempura flour. Mix lightly.
Add the mixture from step 3 into the batter and mix gently.
Heat salad oil to 170°C in a pot (about 3cm deep). Scoop the mixture onto a wooden spatula and gently slide it into the oil. Fry until crispy and cooked through, flipping once.
