INGRÉDIENTS
Fish
- 🐟 2 cleaned horse mackerels (200g)
Vegetables
- 🥒 5cm grated daikon (150g)
- 🍋 1 sudachi, halved
Seasoning
- 🧂 1/2 tsp salt
- soy sauce, as needed
Oil
- 1 tsp salad oil
ÉTAPES
Peel the daikon and grate it. Halve the sudachi.
Cut off the heads of the horse mackerels and sprinkle half the salt (1/4 tsp) over them. Let sit for 10 minutes, then pat dry with paper towels. Make cross cuts on the thicker side of the fish and sprinkle the remaining salt (1/4 tsp) evenly.
Line a frying pan with parchment paper, add salad oil, and spread it thinly with a paper towel. Place the fish with the cut side down and cook over medium-low heat for about 8 minutes. Flip and cook for another 3–4 minutes.
Serve the fish on a plate with grated daikon and sudachi on the side. Add soy sauce to taste.
