Boil the tofu for 5 minutes, breaking it into pieces, then drain.

Heat salad oil in a pan over medium heat. Stir-fry hijiki and tofu until moisture evaporates.

Add seasonings (sake, mirin, sugar, soy sauce, dashi powder, and water) and sliced fish cakes. Bring to a boil, cover with a drop lid, and simmer for 5 minutes.
