INGRÉDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 🥔 4 medium potatoes
- 2-3 tbsp starch
- 🥛 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
Sauce
- 🧂 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 🍬 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp mirin
ÉTAPES
Cut the potatoes into small pieces and boil them until soft. Alternatively, microwave the pieces with a small amount of water for 5-7 minutes, covered with plastic wrap.
Mash the cooked potatoes and mix in starch and milk (or cooking oil) to form a dough. Shape into small, bite-sized pieces.
Heat a frying pan with cooking oil and pan-fry the potato mochi on both sides until golden brown.
Mix soy sauce, sugar, and mirin in a 1:1:1 ratio. Pour the sauce into the pan with the mochi and simmer until the sauce thickens.
Once the sauce has reduced, the Imomochi is ready to serve. Optionally, add a small piece of butter for extra flavor.
