Chicken
- 🍗 1 piece (250g) chicken thigh
Oil
- Enough salad oil for frying
Homemade Karaage Powder
- 2 tbsp potato starch
- 2 tbsp cake flour
- 🧂 1/3 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp consomme powder
- 🧄 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- A pinch of pepper
- A pinch of nutmeg
ÉTAPES
Trim excess fat from the chicken thigh and cut it into bite-sized pieces.
Combine all ☆ ingredients in a plastic bag and mix well by shaking.
Add the chicken pieces to the bag and shake to coat evenly. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
Heat salad oil in a pan to 170°C (about 2cm depth) and fry the chicken for 4–5 minutes, flipping occasionally until cooked through.
