INGRÉDIENTS
Meat
- 🐖 150g thinly sliced pork belly
Vegetables
- 🍆 3 medium eggplants (240g), sliced
- 10 shiso leaves, halved
Seasoning
- 🧂 A pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp sake
Sauce
- 3 tbsp ponzu soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp ground sesame seeds
ÉTAPES
Slice the eggplants diagonally into 1cm thick pieces. Halve the shiso leaves lengthwise.
Cut the pork belly into 3–4cm wide pieces and season with salt and pepper.
Mix the sauce ingredients (ponzu, sesame oil, and ground sesame) in a bowl.
Layer the pork, eggplant, and shiso alternately in a microwave-safe dish. Sprinkle sake over the layers, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 4–5 minutes until the pork is cooked through.
Pour the prepared sauce over the dish before serving.
