INGRÉDIENTS
Fish
- 🐟 2 fillets mackerel
Vegetables
- 🧅 4 cm white part of green onion
- 1/3 bunch garlic chives
Seasoning
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 💧 100 ml water
Thickening Agent
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 💧 1 tbsp water
Cooking Oil
- 1 tbsp salad oil
ÉTAPES
Slice the white part of the green onion thinly, soak in water for 5 minutes, then drain.
Cut the garlic chives into 3 cm pieces. Pat the mackerel fillets dry with paper towels.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan, place the mackerel skin-side down, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown. Flip and cook through, then remove from the pan.
In the same pan, add soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, and water. Bring to a boil, then add garlic chives and cook for 30 seconds over medium heat.
Add the cornstarch slurry to the sauce and stir until thickened. Serve the mackerel on a plate, pour the sauce over, and garnish with green onion.
