INGRÉDIENTS
Rice
- 🍚 1 cup soaked rice
Canned Fish
- 95g canned mackerel in water
Vegetables
- 50g maitake mushrooms
- 30g burdock root
- 1/8 bunch mitsuba
- 1 piece ginger
Liquids
- 💧 Water as needed
Seasonings
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1/2 tbsp mirin
- 🧂 1 tbsp soy sauce
ÉTAPES
Shave the burdock root into thin slices and soak in water, then drain. Cut mitsuba into 5cm lengths. Slice ginger thinly.
Separate the mackerel from its canned liquid.
In a rice cooker, add soaked rice, mackerel liquid, seasonings (sake, mirin, soy sauce), and water up to the 1-cup mark. Mix well and flatten the rice. Layer burdock, mackerel, and maitake mushrooms on top. Cook using the normal rice setting.
Once cooked, add mitsuba and ginger, mix gently, and let it steam for 10 minutes. Serve in bowls and garnish with mitsuba.
