INGRÉDIENTS
Meat
- 🥓 2 slices bacon
Vegetables
- 4 taro roots (200g)
- 🧅 1/2 onion (100g)
Dairy
- 🧀 40g pizza cheese
- 🥛 150ml milk
Seasoning
- 1 tsp consomme
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
Other
- 1 tbsp breadcrumbs
- Dry parsley for garnish
- 1 tbsp salad oil
ÉTAPES
Peel and cut taro into bite-sized pieces. Rub with 1 tsp salt (not listed in ingredients), rinse well, and drain. Microwave in a heatproof container for 4–5 minutes at 600W. Mash half of the taro while hot.
Slice the onion thinly and cut bacon into 1cm strips.
Heat salad oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté bacon and onion until softened. Add all seasoning ingredients except cheese and mix well. Add mashed taro and stir until combined.
Add 20g of pizza cheese and mix. Then add the remaining taro and stir until well combined.
Transfer the mixture to a heatproof dish. Top with 40g pizza cheese and breadcrumbs. Bake in a toaster for about 5 minutes until golden brown. Garnish with parsley.
