- 150g somen noodles
- 40g mentaiko
- 🧅 Chopped green onion, a pinch
Cream Sauce
- 🧈 20g salted butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 🥛 250ml milk
- 🧂 1/3 tsp salt
- A pinch of pepper
ÉTAPES
Cut open the mentaiko and extract the contents. Reserve one spoonful for topping.
In a microwave-safe bowl, heat butter for 20 seconds at 600W to melt. Add flour and mix. Gradually add milk while stirring, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave for 3 minutes at 600W. Stir well.
Cover loosely again and microwave for another 2 minutes. Stir in salt, pepper, and mentaiko. Transfer to a serving bowl, garnish with green onion and reserved mentaiko.
Boil water in a pot, cook somen noodles according to package instructions, then rinse under cold water and drain.
Serve the somen in a separate bowl alongside the cream sauce for dipping.
