Vegetables
- 200g bean sprouts
- 🧅 1/2 green onion, minced
Seafood
- 🐙 100g boiled octopus, chopped
Condiments
- As needed salad oil
- As needed pickled ginger
- As needed seaweed powder
- As needed bonito flakes
- As needed okonomiyaki sauce
- As needed mayonnaise
Batter
- 50g all-purpose flour
- 🥚 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 tsp dashi powder
- 💧 2 tbsp water
ÉTAPES
Mince the green onion and chop the boiled octopus into small pieces.
Mix the batter ingredients (flour, egg, dashi powder, and water) in a bowl until smooth.
Add the bean sprouts, minced green onion, and chopped octopus to the batter and mix well.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan and spoon the batter mixture into 6–7cm diameter circles.
Cook for about 4 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 4 minutes until fully cooked.
Serve on a plate, drizzle with okonomiyaki sauce and mayonnaise, and garnish with pickled ginger, seaweed powder, and bonito flakes.
