INGRÉDIENTS
Chicken
- 🍗 1 piece (300g) chicken thigh
Marinade
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🧂 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
Coating
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp potato starch
- 1/2 tbsp aonori (seaweed flakes)
Frying
- Enough vegetable oil for frying
ÉTAPES
Trim excess fat from the chicken thigh and cut it into bite-sized pieces.
In a bowl, mix the marinade ingredients (sake, salt, and grated ginger). Add the chicken pieces and massage the marinade into the meat. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
In another bowl, mix the coating ingredients (flour, potato starch, and aonori).
Heat vegetable oil in a pot to 170°C (340°F). Coat the marinated chicken pieces in the flour mixture and fry for about 2 minutes on medium heat. Flip and fry for another 2–3 minutes until cooked through.
