INGRÉDIENTS
Main
- 🥩 60g thinly sliced pork belly
- 30g oatmeal
- 1/2 tsp Japanese dashi powder
- 💧 120ml water
- 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
Filling
- 🥚 1 egg
- 🥬 80g cabbage (2 leaves), shredded
- 🦐 1 tbsp dried shrimp
Toppings
- 2 tbsp okonomiyaki sauce
- Mayonnaise, as needed
- Bonito flakes, as needed
- Aonori (seaweed powder), as needed
ÉTAPES
Shred the cabbage into thin slices.
Cut the pork belly slices in half.
Mix oatmeal, dashi powder, and water in a microwave-safe container. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and microwave at 600W for 2 minutes. Let cool slightly.
Add the egg, shredded cabbage, and dried shrimp to the oatmeal mixture and combine well to form the batter.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Spread the batter evenly in the pan and place pork slices on top. Cook for 3–4 minutes until golden brown.
Flip the pancake, cover with a lid, and cook on low heat for another 3–4 minutes until the pork is crispy and the batter is cooked through.
Serve on a plate and top with okonomiyaki sauce, mayonnaise, bonito flakes, and aonori.
