INGRÉDIENTS
Meat
- 150g ground meat mix
Vegetables
- 2 pieces aburaage
- 🧅 1/4 onion, minced
- 1 cabbage leaf, shredded
Seasonings
- 🧂 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
- To taste tonkatsu sauce
Other
- 1 tsp salad oil
- 1 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 🥛 1.5 tbsp milk
ÉTAPES
Pat aburaage with paper towel to remove excess oil, cut in half, and open them up.
Mince the onion finely. Shred the cabbage, sprinkle with salt, let sit for 10 minutes, then squeeze out excess water.
In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs and milk to moisten. Add ground meat, soy sauce, salt, and pepper, and mix until sticky. Add onion and cabbage, and mix well. Divide into 4 portions.
Stuff the aburaage with the meat mixture and secure with toothpicks.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over low heat. Cook the stuffed aburaage until golden brown on one side. Flip, cover with a lid, and cook on low heat until the filling is cooked through. Serve with tonkatsu sauce if desired.
