INGRÉDIENTS
Vegetable
- 🧅 1/2 onion (100g), thinly sliced
Seafood
- 🦐 10g dried sakura shrimp
Flour
- 1 tbsp flour for coating
- 4 tbsp flour for batter
Starch
- 2 tbsp potato starch
Liquid
- 💧 80cc cold water
Seasoning
- 🧂 1/4 tsp salt
Oil
- Enough salad oil for deep frying
ÉTAPES
Remove the core of the onion and slice it thinly.
In a bowl, mix the batter ingredients (flour, potato starch, and cold water).
In another bowl, coat the onion and sakura shrimp with 1 tbsp flour. Add the batter and mix gently.
Heat salad oil in a pot to 170°C (3cm deep). Scoop 1/4 of the mixture with a spatula and drop it into the oil. Fry for 4–5 minutes until golden brown, flipping occasionally. Repeat for 4 pieces.
Serve on a plate with salt on the side.
