INGRÉDIENTS
Dumpling Wrappers
- 24 dumpling wrappers
Filling
- 100g ground pork
- 🥬 350g minced napa cabbage
- 50g chopped chives
- 🧂 1/2 tsp salt
Seasoning for Filling
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🧂 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- 🧄 1/2 tsp grated garlic
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- a pinch of pepper
- 1 tbsp potato starch
Cooking
- 💧 50cc water
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
Dipping Sauce
- 🧂 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- to taste chili oil
ÉTAPES
Finely chop the napa cabbage and place it in a bowl. Add salt, mix, and let sit for 10 minutes. Squeeze out excess water. Chop the chives into 5mm pieces.
In another bowl, mix ground pork, napa cabbage, chives, and the seasoning ingredients (sake, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, pepper, and potato starch) thoroughly to make the filling.
Place 1/24 of the filling onto each dumpling wrapper. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water and fold to seal. Repeat for all 24 dumplings.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Arrange the dumplings in the pan and cook until the bottoms are golden brown. Add water to the pan, cover, and steam for about 5 minutes until the water evaporates.
Uncover the pan and let any remaining water evaporate. Drizzle sesame oil around the dumplings and cook for 1 minute until crispy. Flip the dumplings onto a plate and serve.
