Main Ingredients
- 🍗 1 whole chicken
- 1 root ginseng
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp grapeseed oil
- 🧅 2 stalks green onion
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp gochujang
- 1 tbsp red pepper flakes
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 💧 10 tbsp water
- 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp ginger juice
- 🧂 1 tsp black pepper
- 5 tbsp plum syrup
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
ÉTAPES
Prepare the chicken by cleaning and optionally soaking in milk or rice water to remove odor.
Blanch the chicken briefly in boiling water to remove impurities.
Heat a pan with grapeseed oil and sear the chicken until the skin turns golden brown.
Pour the prepared seasoning sauce over the chicken in the pan.
Add a root of ginseng for added nutrition and bring the mixture to a boil on high heat.
Reduce the heat and simmer until the sauce thickens and almost evaporates.
Cover the pan and let the chicken cook thoroughly on low heat.
Finish with sesame oil and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
