Meat
- 🐖 150g pork slices
Staple
- 2 pieces mochi
Vegetable
- 🥒 200g grated daikon
- 🧅 Chopped green onion, as needed
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🧂 Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1/2 tsp dashi powder
- 💧 200ml water
Oil
- 1/2 tbsp salad oil
ÉTAPES
Grate the daikon radish. Cut the mochi into quarters and toast them in a toaster oven.
Season the pork slices with sake, salt, and pepper, then knead them. Shape into bite-sized balls and coat with cornstarch.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the pork balls and cook while rolling them until they change color.
Add the seasoning mixture (sake, mirin, soy sauce, dashi powder, and water) to the pan. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer on low heat for 3 minutes.
Add the grated daikon and toasted mochi to the pan. Cook briefly, then serve on a plate and garnish with chopped green onions.
