Meat
- 120g thinly sliced pork belly
Vegetables
- 🧅 1/2 onion, roughly chopped
- 100g lotus root, diced
- 🥕 50g carrot, diced
Seasoning
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
- 1/2 tsp salad oil
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 🥛 200ml milk
- 💧 150ml water
- 1/2 tbsp curry powder
- 1/2 tsp consomme
- 🧂 1/3 tsp salt
Garnish
- Pinch of chopped parsley
ÉTAPES
Chop the onion roughly. Dice the carrot and lotus root into 1cm cubes. Soak the lotus root in water and drain.
Cut the pork belly into 2cm strips and season with salt and pepper.
Heat salad oil in a pot over medium heat. Add the pork belly and cook until its color changes. Add the carrot, onion, and lotus root, and sauté until the onion becomes translucent. Sprinkle flour and mix until no powder remains.
Add water, curry powder, consomme, and salt. Mix well, cover, and simmer on low heat for 6-7 minutes. Add milk and warm through.
Serve in bowls and garnish with chopped parsley.
