INGRÉDIENTS
Meat
- 300g pork belly block
Vegetables
- 🥔 3 medium potatoes (350g)
- 🥕 1/2 carrot
- 🧅 1/2 onion
- 30g frozen green peas
Liquids
- 300cc water
- 1 tbsp sake
- 3 tbsp mirin
- 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
Seasonings
- 🧂 1 tbsp sugar
ÉTAPES
Cut the potatoes into bite-sized pieces, soak in water, and drain. Cut the carrot and onion into bite-sized pieces.
Slice the pork belly into 1cm wide strips.
Heat a pot over medium heat, add the pork belly, and cook until the color changes. Add potatoes, carrot, and onion, and stir-fry.
Add water and sake to the pot. Bring to a boil, skim off any foam, then add mirin and sugar. Cover and simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
Add soy sauce and mix gently. Cover and simmer for another 7–8 minutes. Add green peas and cook for 1 minute.
