INGRÉDIENTS
Meat
- 🥓 10 slices thinly sliced pork belly (200g)
Vegetables
- 10 shiso leaves
Seasonings
- 🧂 A pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp potato starch
Cooking Oil
- 1/2 tbsp salad oil
Liquids
- 1 tbsp sake
Sauces
- 2 tbsp ponzu sauce
Dairy
- 🧈 10g salted butter
ÉTAPES
Trim the stems of the shiso leaves and cut them in half lengthwise.
Lay out a slice of pork belly, sprinkle with salt, pepper, and potato starch. Place a shiso leaf on the pork and roll tightly. Repeat for all 10 rolls.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the rolls seam-side down and cook until browned. Rotate to cook all sides evenly.
Add sake to the pan, cover with a lid, and steam over low heat for 5–6 minutes until cooked through.
Add ponzu sauce and butter to the pan. Stir until the butter melts and coats the rolls evenly.
