INGRÉDIENTS
Rice
- 🍚 2 bowls (400g) cooked white rice
- 1 tbsp potato starch for rice
Fish
- 🐟 2 pieces of mackerel fillet
- 1 tbsp potato starch for mackerel
Vegetables
- 🥬 2 leaves of lettuce
- 🧅 4cm of green onion, sliced
Seasoning
- 🧂 A pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp mayonnaise
- 1/2 tsp wasabi
Oil
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- Enough salad oil for frying
ÉTAPES
Tear lettuce into bite-sized pieces.
Slice green onion thinly, soak in water for 5 minutes, then drain.
Sprinkle salt on mackerel and coat with potato starch.
Mix warm rice with potato starch, divide into 4 portions, and shape into round patties using plastic wrap.
Heat sesame oil in a pan, cook rice patties for 3 minutes per side until golden brown.
In the same pan, fry mackerel in salad oil for 5 minutes, flipping occasionally, until cooked through. Remove excess oil and add mirin and soy sauce to coat.
Mix wasabi and mayonnaise to create wasabi mayo.
Spread wasabi mayo on rice patties, layer lettuce, mackerel, and green onion, then top with another rice patty.
