    • 2 tbsp mirin

    • 1/3 tsp Japanese dashi powder
    • 4 slices ginger
    • 💧 100ml water
  • Garnish

    • 🧅 1 green onion, thinly sliced

Slice the daikon into 2cm thick half moons and peel the skin. Microwave the daikon on a plate covered with plastic wrap for 5 minutes at 600W.

Cut the green onion in half lengthwise and slice thinly at an angle.

Pat the yellowtail fillets dry with a paper towel and cut them in half.

Combine all seasoning ingredients in a frying pan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Add the yellowtail and daikon, then bring to a boil again. Cover with a drop lid and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.

Serve the yellowtail and daikon on a plate and garnish with sliced green onion.
