Main
- 300g satoimo (Japanese taro)
- 🧀 40g shredded pizza cheese
- 1 tbsp breadcrumbs
Miso Pork
- 100g ground pork
- 🧅 1/3 stalk green onion, minced
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🍬 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp miso
- A pinch of grated ginger
Garnish
- 🧅 Chopped green onion to taste
ÉTAPES
Peel and cut satoimo into bite-sized pieces. Rub with 1 tsp salt to remove slime, rinse with water, and drain. Microwave in a heatproof container covered with plastic wrap at 600W for 5-6 minutes until tender. Mince the green onion.
Mix all 'Miso Pork' ingredients in a separate heatproof container. Microwave at 600W for 3 minutes, stir, then microwave for another 30 seconds. Leave covered until cooled.
Layer satoimo and miso pork in a heatproof dish. Top with shredded pizza cheese and breadcrumbs. Bake in a toaster oven until cheese is golden brown.
Sprinkle chopped green onion on top before serving.
