Vegetables
- 4 pieces (250g) satoimo
- 8 shiso leaves
Wrapper
- 8 spring roll wrappers
Seasoning
- 🧂 Pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp water
Cooking Oil
- Adequate amount of salad oil
Binding Mixture
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp water
Filling
- 🐟 70g (1 can) tuna
- 🧀 30g pizza cheese
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
ÉTAPES
Peel and cut satoimo into bite-sized pieces. Sprinkle with salt, rub gently, rinse with water, and drain. Place satoimo and 2 tbsp water in a microwave-safe container, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for about 5 minutes until tender. Drain and mash coarsely.
In a bowl, mix the mashed satoimo with the tuna, cheese, mayonnaise, and salt and pepper. Divide the mixture into 8 portions.
Place a shiso leaf on each spring roll wrapper, add the filling, and wrap tightly. Seal the edges with the flour-water mixture.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan to 170°C (about 2cm depth). Fry the spring rolls until golden brown, turning occasionally.
