INGRÉDIENTS

- 🦐 100g peeled shrimp
Vegetables
- 200g frozen taro
- 🧅 1/2 onion, minced
- 1/2 bunch cilantro, chopped
Condiments
- 1/2 tbsp fish sauce
- Sweet chili sauce, as needed

- 1 tbsp potato starch
- Vegetable oil, as needed
ÉTAPES
Remove the vein from the peeled shrimp and chop them coarsely.
Mince the onion and chop the cilantro into 4cm pieces.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, sauté the onion over medium-low heat until translucent, then add shrimp and cook until they change color. Add fish sauce to season.
Place the frozen taro in a microwave-safe container, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 3 minutes. Mash the taro with a fork while hot, then mix with the shrimp mixture and potato starch. Divide into 8 portions and shape into balls.
Heat vegetable oil in a pot to 170°C, fry the taro balls for 4–6 minutes until golden brown. Serve with cilantro and sweet chili sauce.
