Wonton Wrappers
- 20 pieces wonton wrappers
Shrimp Filling
- 🦐 100g peeled shrimp
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 🧅 15g chopped green onion
- 3 slices ginger
- 1/3 tsp soy sauce
- 1/3 tsp sesame oil
Soup Base
- 💧 600ml water
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp chicken stock powder
Garnish
- 🧅 To taste shredded green onion
ÉTAPES
Finely chop the green onion and ginger.
Peel the shrimp and remove the vein. Mix shrimp with cornstarch, rinse, and pat dry. Roughly chop and mash the shrimp.
Combine shrimp, green onion, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a bowl. Mix until sticky.
Place 1/20 of the filling onto a wonton wrapper. Wet the edges with water and fold to seal. Repeat for all wrappers.
In a pot, bring water, sake, soy sauce, and chicken stock powder to a boil. Add wontons and cook until they float, about 2–3 minutes.
Serve the soup in bowls and garnish with shredded green onion.
