- 🐟 2 fillets mackerel
Vegetables
- 🧅 1/4 onion
- 🥕 1/4 carrot
- 1/2 bunch watercress
- 🧄 1 clove garlic
Legumes
- 100g cooked soybeans
Seasonings
- 🧂 1/3 tsp salt
- Pinch of pepper
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp sake
Sauce
- 🍅 200g canned whole tomatoes
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 tsp bouillon granules
- 🧂 1/3 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp miso
ÉTAPES
Slice the onion, carrot, and garlic thinly. Prepare the mackerel fillets by removing any bones.
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté garlic until fragrant, then add onion and carrot. Cook until softened.
Add the mackerel fillets to the pan and lightly sear both sides. Pour in sake and let it evaporate slightly.
Add the canned tomatoes, water, bouillon granules, salt, and miso to the pan. Stir well to combine.
Simmer the mixture over low heat for 20 minutes, occasionally stirring. Add the cooked soybeans halfway through.
Garnish with watercress before serving. Pair with rice or bread for a complete meal.
