Separate the turnip leaves from the white part. Peel the white part and cut it into quarters. Cut the leaves into 3cm pieces.

Cut the bacon into 2cm wide pieces.

Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add the seasonings (water, consommé, salt). Once boiling, add the bacon and turnip white parts, cover, and simmer over low heat for 4–5 minutes until tender.

Add the turnip leaves, mix, and simmer for another 1–2 minutes.

Serve on a plate and sprinkle with black pepper.
