Essential Ingredients
- 200g pork belly
- A pinch of black pepper
- 🍚 2 servings of cooked rice
Sauce Ingredients
- 💧 1 cup water
- 5 tbsp soy sauce
- 🍬 2 tbsp sugar
- 3 tbsp mirin
- 🧅 1/4 onion, sliced
- 10cm green onion, 2 stalks
- 🧄 5 cloves garlic
- 1 slice ginger
Optional Ingredients
- 2 tbsp chopped green onion
ÉTAPES
Season pork belly with black pepper and pan-fry until golden brown on both sides. Slice the onion.
In a pan, combine water, soy sauce, sugar, mirin, sliced onion, green onion, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a boil, then add the cooked pork belly and simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
Serve cooked rice in a bowl, top with pork belly and onions from the sauce, drizzle 2 tbsp of sauce, and garnish with chopped green onion.
