INGRÉDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 🌭 12 Vienna sausages
- 🍘 12 rice cakes
- 1/2 cup cooking oil
- 6 skewers
Skewer Sauce
- 🧂 2 tbsp sugar
- 🧂 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp corn syrup
- 1 tbsp gochujang
- 🍅 2 tbsp ketchup
- 💧 1/3 cup water
ÉTAPES
Boil the rice cakes in hot water for 2 minutes, then rinse with cold water to soften.
Make small cuts on the Vienna sausages to prevent them from bursting during cooking. Skewer the sausages and rice cakes alternately.
Remove excess moisture from the skewers to avoid oil splatter. Heat oil in a pan and fry the skewers until golden brown.
Combine all sauce ingredients (sugar, soy sauce, corn syrup, gochujang, ketchup, and water) in a pan and simmer until slightly thickened.
Brush the sauce generously onto the skewers. Optionally, cook the skewers briefly in the pan to allow the sauce to soak in.
