- 100g Spam
- 5 garlic scapes
- 🍚 1.5 cups cooked rice
Seasonings
- 🧂 2 pinches salt
- 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
- A sprinkle of sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/2 tbsp cooking wine
- A dash of black pepper
ÉTAPES
Mash 100g Spam using a plastic glove. Wash and finely chop 5 garlic scapes.
In a dry pan, sauté mashed Spam until browned. Add 1/2 tbsp cooking wine and a dash of black pepper. Cook on high heat.
Place cooked Spam on a paper towel to remove excess grease.
In a bowl, mix 1.5 cups cooked rice with 2 pinches of salt, a sprinkle of sesame seeds, and 1/2 tbsp sesame oil.
Add sautéed Spam and chopped garlic scapes to the rice mixture and combine well.
Add 1 tbsp mayonnaise and mix thoroughly. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Shape the rice mixture into bite-sized balls by pressing firmly.
Optionally, coat rice balls with sesame seeds for added texture and flavor.
