Wrap
- 1 sheet seaweed for gimbap
Vegetables
- 🥕 1/2 cup finely chopped carrot
- 2 finely chopped Cheongyang chilies
Condiments
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp water
- 1/2 tbsp plum extract
- 1/2 tbsp corn syrup
- 1 tbsp cooking wine
- 🧄 1/2 tbsp minced garlic
Protein
- 4 slices Spam
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
ÉTAPES
Prepare the soy sauce mix by combining soy sauce, water, plum extract, corn syrup, cooking wine, minced garlic, and 1 chopped Cheongyang chili. Simmer on low heat for 4-5 minutes.
Finely chop the carrot and Cheongyang chilies. Adjust chili quantity based on your spice preference.
Slice Spam thinly and blanch in hot water to reduce saltiness and grease.
Pan-fry the Spam slices without oil until golden brown.
Mix the cooled soy sauce mix with cooked rice, chopped vegetables, sesame oil, and sesame seeds.
Place a quarter sheet of seaweed on a flat surface, spread the seasoned rice, add a slice of Spam, and roll tightly.
