Vermicelli
- 10g vermicelli
- 1 tsp salad oil
- lettuce as needed
Meatball Mixture
- 200g ground chicken (thigh)
- 🥚 1/2 beaten egg
- 🧅 1/2 tbsp minced green onion
- 1/2 tbsp potato starch
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- 🧂 1/4 tsp salt
Chili Sauce
- a pinch of minced ginger
- 🧄 a pinch of minced garlic
- 2 tsp tomato ketchup
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp vinegar
- a pinch of chili paste
- 1/4 cup water
Thickening Mixture
- 1/2 tsp potato starch
- 1 tsp water
ÉTAPES
Soak vermicelli in water until softened, then drain.
Mix ground chicken, beaten egg, minced green onion, potato starch, grated ginger, and salt in a bowl to form the meatball mixture.
Shape the mixture into small meatballs and wrap softened vermicelli around each meatball.
Heat salad oil in a pan and cook the meatballs until golden brown and cooked through.
Prepare the chili sauce by combining minced ginger, minced garlic, ketchup, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, vinegar, chili paste, and water in a saucepan. Heat until simmering.
Mix potato starch and water to create a thickening mixture. Add to the simmering sauce and stir until thickened.
Pour the chili sauce over the cooked meatballs and serve with lettuce.
