Seafood
- 🦑 1 squid (200g), cleaned and sliced
Vegetables
- 1/2 yellow bell pepper, cut into 6 pieces
- 🧅 1/2 green onion, sliced diagonally
- 🧄 1/2 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 piece ginger, minced
Oil
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
Seasonings
- 1 tbsp XO sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🍬 1/2 tsp sugar
- 🧂 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
ÉTAPES
Clean the squid by removing the innards, cartilage, and beak. Slice the body into 7mm strips and cut the tentacles into bite-sized pieces.
Cut the yellow bell pepper into 6 pieces, slice the green onion diagonally into 1cm pieces, and mince the garlic and ginger.
Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant, then add the squid and stir-fry briefly. Add the yellow bell pepper and green onion, stir-frying until coated in oil.
Add the XO sauce, sake, sugar, soy sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir-fry quickly to combine and serve immediately.
