INGRÉDIENTS
Vegetables
- 🥔 2 medium potatoes (300g)
- 5cm daikon (150g)
- 🧅 A pinch of chopped green onion
Seasonings
- 🧂 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp Japanese dashi powder
- 💧 200ml water
ÉTAPES
Cut the daikon into quarter slices and then into 1cm thick pieces. Place the daikon and 1 tbsp water in a microwave-safe container, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 4 minutes.
Cut the potatoes into bite-sized pieces and soak them in water to remove excess starch. Drain well.
In a frying pan, combine all the seasonings (☆) and bring to a boil over medium heat. Add the daikon and potatoes, bring to a boil again, cover, and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
Turn off the heat and let the dish cool with the lid on to allow the flavors to soak in.
Reheat over medium heat until boiling. Serve on a plate and garnish with chopped green onions.
