- 🥓 5 slices bacon
Vegetables
- 🥔 2 medium potatoes (300g)
Seasoning
- 1/3 tsp Japanese dashi powder
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
Liquid
- 💧 100ml water
ÉTAPES
Cut the potatoes into bite-sized pieces and soak them in water to remove excess starch. Drain well.
Slice the bacon into 2cm wide strips.
In a pot, combine potatoes, bacon, dashi powder, and water. Heat over medium heat until boiling.
Add sake and mirin, cover the pot, and simmer on low heat for 6–7 minutes.
Add soy sauce and simmer for another 3–4 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
