INGRÉDIENTS
Meat
- 🥩 150g thinly sliced pork belly
Vegetables
- 300g winter melon, peeled and diced
- 🧅 Chopped green onion, as needed
Cooking Oil
- 1 tsp salad oil
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 🧂 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- 💧 100ml water
ÉTAPES
Remove seeds and pulp from the winter melon, peel, and cut into bite-sized pieces.
Cut the pork belly into 3cm wide strips.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat, add pork belly, and stir-fry until the meat changes color. Add winter melon and stir-fry briefly until coated with oil.
Add the seasoning mixture (sake, mirin, sugar, soy sauce, ginger, and water) and mix well. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer over low heat for 10–15 minutes until the winter melon is tender.
Remove the lid and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
Serve on a plate and garnish with chopped green onion.
