- 🍗 6 chicken wings (360g)
Vegetables
- 300g winter melon
- 1 slice ginger
- 🧅 5cm white part of green onion
Cooking Oil
- 1/2 tbsp salad oil
Seasonings
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 🧂 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 💧 150ml water
ÉTAPES
Remove seeds and pulp from the winter melon, cut into bite-sized pieces, and peel. Slice the ginger thinly. Cut the green onion into thin strips and soak in water for 5 minutes, then drain.
Pat the chicken wings dry and make cuts along the bone.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat, add the chicken wings, and cook for 2–3 minutes until browned, turning occasionally.
Add the seasonings (sake, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, water), ginger, and winter melon. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
Uncover, increase to medium heat, and cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and glazes the chicken and winter melon.
Serve on a plate and garnish with the shredded green onion.
