INGRÉDIENTS
Meat
- 200g ground pork
Vegetables
- 200g lotus root
- 10cm green onion
Seasoning
- Potato starch as needed
- 1/2 tbsp salad oil
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp potato starch
- 2 tbsp sake
- 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tsp potato starch
- 1/3 tsp chicken broth powder
- 100cc water
ÉTAPES
Slice the lotus root into 12 equal pieces and soak in water for 5 minutes. Drain well.
Finely chop the green onion.
Mix the ingredients for the sweet and sour sauce (★) in a bowl.
In another bowl, combine ground pork, green onion, and the meat seasoning ingredients (☆). Mix until sticky and divide into 6 portions.
Dust one side of each lotus root slice with potato starch. Place 1/6 of the meat mixture on the starchy side and sandwich with another lotus root slice. Repeat for all 6 sandwiches.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium-low heat. Add the lotus root sandwiches and cook until browned. Flip and cover with a lid, cooking on low heat for 4-5 minutes until fully cooked.
Add the sweet and sour sauce to the pan and stir until thickened and evenly coated.
