INGRÉDIENTS
Fish
- 🐟 200g yellowtail fillet
Vegetables
- 200g lotus root
- 🧅 110g green onion
Seasoning
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tbsp salad oil
Sauce
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 3 tbsp ponzu soy sauce
- 🧄 1/3 tsp grated garlic
ÉTAPES
Cut the yellowtail into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
Slice the lotus root thinly and chop the green onion into 4-5 cm pieces.
Coat the yellowtail pieces lightly with cornstarch.
Heat salad oil in a pan and fry the yellowtail until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
In the same pan, stir-fry the lotus root briefly to retain its crunchiness.
Add the green onion and stir-fry until slightly charred and fragrant.
Combine mirin, sugar, ponzu soy sauce, and garlic in a bowl to make the sauce.
Return the yellowtail to the pan, pour the sauce over, and stir-fry until well-coated.
