INGRÉDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 🐙 150g boiled octopus, chopped
- 🧅 10g chopped green onion
- 20g pickled ginger, chopped
- 20g tempura flakes
- 1 tsp salad oil
- 2 tbsp okonomiyaki sauce
- Bonito flakes, as needed
- 1/2 tsp aonori (seaweed powder)
Batter
- 200g all-purpose flour
- 🥚 3 eggs
- 💧 600ml water
- 1 tsp Japanese dashi powder
ÉTAPES
Chop the boiled octopus into bite-sized pieces.
Slice the green onion and chop the pickled ginger.
In a bowl, whisk the eggs, then add water and dashi powder. Gradually mix in the flour until smooth.
Heat the takoyaki pan and lightly grease it with salad oil. Pour batter into each mold halfway, add octopus, green onion, ginger, and tempura flakes, then fill the molds completely with batter.
Cook for 3–5 minutes until golden brown, then flip the takoyaki balls using skewers or chopsticks. Continue cooking until evenly browned.
Serve the takoyaki on a plate, topped with okonomiyaki sauce, bonito flakes, and aonori.
