Main Ingredients
- 1 block tofu
- 🥚 3 eggs
- Adequate cooking oil
Seasonings
- 🧅 1/2 onion, chopped
- 🧄 A bit of minced garlic
- 1/2 stalk green onion
- 1 chili pepper
- 1.5 tbsp chili powder
- 1/2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 🧂 A pinch of salt
- A pinch of pepper
ÉTAPES
Cut tofu into bite-sized pieces and season lightly with salt and pepper.
Chop the onion into medium-sized pieces suitable for spooning.
Prepare the braising sauce by mixing all seasoning ingredients.
Pan-fry the tofu on both sides until golden brown.
Layer the fried tofu in a pot.
Pour the braising sauce over the tofu and add 1/2 cup of water.
Cover the pot and simmer on medium-low heat. Once boiling, reduce to low heat and tilt the lid slightly.
Occasionally stir the tofu gently to coat it evenly with the sauce.
Crack eggs over the tofu, ensuring the yolks remain intact.
Cover the pot and cook until the egg whites are set but yolks remain runny.
