INGRÉDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 300g firm tofu
- 1 piece mentaiko (pollock roe)
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp consomme powder
- 1 handful grated cheese
- 3 tbsp potato starch
- 2 pieces baby cheese
- Enough salad oil for frying

- Mayonnaise as needed
- Dried parsley as needed
ÉTAPES
Wrap firm tofu in cooking paper, place it on a heatproof plate, and microwave at 600W for 2 minutes. Place a weight on the tofu and let it sit for 10 minutes.
In a bowl, mix the drained tofu, peeled mentaiko, mayonnaise, consomme powder, grated cheese, and potato starch until smooth.
Divide the mixture into 12 portions, wrap each portion around a small piece of baby cheese, and roll into balls. Coat each ball with potato starch.
Heat salad oil in a pot to 170°C (about 3cm deep) and fry the balls until golden brown.
Serve on a plate and optionally top with mayonnaise and dried parsley.
