INGRÉDIENTS
Chicken
- 🍗 500g chicken thighs
Vegetables
- 🧅 50g sliced onion
- 40g sliced red paprika
Coating
- Potato starch as needed
Oil
- Salad oil as needed
Marinade
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
- 🧄 2 tsp grated garlic
- 2 tsp grated ginger
Sweet and Sour Sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 🧂 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp vinegar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
ÉTAPES
Cut chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces. Place them in a bag, add marinade ingredients, and massage. Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes.
Slice the onion thinly and the red paprika horizontally into thin slices.
In a small pot, combine sweet and sour sauce ingredients and bring to a boil. Stir to dissolve sugar, then remove from heat. Add onion and paprika to the sauce and mix well.
Drain the marinated chicken and coat each piece with potato starch.
Heat salad oil to 170°C in a pot. Fry chicken pieces for 4–5 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
Plate the fried chicken and pour the sweet and sour sauce over it.
