BAHAN-BAHAN
Main Ingredients
- 🍗 Chicken thigh 500g (cut into large bite-sized pieces)
- Daikon 1 (peeled and cut into 1cm thick half-moon slices)
Seasonings
- Soy sauce 3 tablespoons
- 🍬 Sugar 2 teaspoons
- Mirin 2 tablespoons
- Cooking sake 2 tablespoons
- 💧 Water 400ml
LANGKAH
Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and peel and slice the daikon into half-moons.
Add water to a pot, add the chicken and daikon, and heat on medium.
Skim off the scum, then add soy sauce, sugar, mirin, and cooking sake, and continue simmering.
Reduce the heat, cover with a drop lid, and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Once the daikon becomes soft, turn off the heat and let it cool slightly to enhance flavor absorption.
