BAHAN-BAHAN
Main Ingredients
- 6 chikuwa
- 🧀 100g cream cheese
- 1/2 mentaiko
- 6 shiso leaves
- 6 spring roll wrappers
Cooking Oil
- As needed salad oil
Binding Mixture
- 1 tbsp flour
- 💧 1 tbsp water
LANGKAH
Make a vertical cut in the chikuwa, trim the stems off the shiso leaves, and remove the contents from the mentaiko casing.
Mix cream cheese and mentaiko in a bowl, then spread the mixture inside the chikuwa.
Place a shiso leaf and filled chikuwa on a spring roll wrapper. Roll tightly from the edge, seal the end with the flour-water mixture, and twist both ends to resemble a candy shape.
Heat 2cm of salad oil in a frying pan to 170°C, then fry the rolls, turning occasionally, until golden brown.
