BAHAN-BAHAN
Fish
- 🐟 2 fillets mackerel
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp potato starch
- Enough salad oil for frying
Aromatic Sauce
- 🧅 10cm white part of green onion
- 2 pieces ginger
- 🍬 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
LANGKAH
Cut the mackerel into bite-sized pieces. Sprinkle with sake and let sit for 5 minutes. Pat dry with a paper towel, then season with salt and pepper and coat with potato starch.
Finely chop the green onion and ginger. Mix them in a bowl with sugar, vinegar, and soy sauce to create the aromatic sauce.
Heat salad oil in a pot to 180°C (about 2cm deep). Fry the mackerel for 4–5 minutes, turning occasionally, until crispy. Serve on a plate and drizzle with the aromatic sauce.
