BAHAN-BAHAN

- 8 okra pods
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- 2g bonito flakes
Seasoning
- 100ml water
- 1/4 tsp Japanese dashi powder
- 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tbsp mirin
LANGKAH
Trim the okra by cutting off the stem ends and removing the calyx. Rub with 1/3 tsp salt on a cutting board.
Boil water in a pot and cook the salted okra for about 1 minute. Drain and rinse under cold water. Pat dry with paper towels.
Mix the seasoning ingredients (water, dashi powder, soy sauce, mirin) in a microwave-safe container. Heat uncovered in a microwave at 600W for 30 seconds, then let cool.
Add grated ginger and the cooked okra to the cooled seasoning mixture. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.
Serve the marinated okra in a dish and top with bonito flakes.
