Remove the stem from the tomato and dice it into 2cm cubes. Trim the roots off the kaiware and cut them into thirds.

Add the rice and seasonings (โ˜†) to the rice cooker. Add water up to just below the 1-cup mark, mix gently, and level the rice. Layer the pork, tomato, and bonito flakes on top, then cook as usual.
